Nakhlah Childbirth International was formed in 2013 after a need was recognised within the Muslim Community for sisters to have access to evidence-based information, and gentle, personalised support; regarding their pregnancies and births, and their breastfeeding and postnatal experiences.
Aisha Smith, founder and director of Nakhlah Childbirth International, and Sumayyah Giddins, assistant director, have been blessed with supporting many families within the community throughout their precious journeys of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. Amar Wehbe, plays a pivotal role as our adviser, and continues to inspire this initiative with her passion and insight.
Our team of dedicated and passionate doulas continuously contribute to and enhance the services available within the community.
Our aim is for sisters to embrace the births of their babies, through seeking information and support, exploring their options, and trusting their instincts as mothers.
We ask Allah to grant us success and place barakah in our endeavours to benefit our sisters, and we ask Him the Most Generous to grant all of our sisters enjoyable pregnancies, positive birth experiences, and healthy, righteous children. Ameen
